Our standard
Where what you read comes from.
A letter reads in a few minutes. Behind each one stand sources, a craft of writing, and a standard of accuracy we never relax. Here is how we work — without hiding what matters.
Sources, always
nothing from memory
Every discovery starts from the work itself and the apparatus that surrounds it — reference editions, scholarly notes, recognised studies, all in the public domain. We never retell a work “from memory”: we read it again at the source, so that context, dates and intent rest on solid ground, never on an impression.
The role of artificial intelligence
acknowledged, constrained
Yes: to compose a complete discovery three mornings a week, with this standard of writing, we rely on the most capable artificial intelligence available. We say so plainly, because what matters is not the tool but what we make it produce and the control we keep over it. It writes under conditions; it never has the last word.
A verification process
before every issue
No letter leaves without passing through a chain of checks: claims are checked against sources, quotations and dates verified one by one, the text critically reviewed from several angles, then validated by a human eye. Whatever is not certain is removed or corrected before sending — never patched up afterwards.
What this guarantees you
our commitment
You read something accurate, alive and verified — a work made vivid without being betrayed. And if an error should slip through despite all this, every letter can be answered: a single word is enough to tell us, and we correct it. It is this standard, more than anything else, that gives value to what we send you.
